Lil Wayne, or as nobody knows him, Dwayne Carter went to jail this week. While on tour in 2007, his bus was stopped by border patrol in Yuma, Arizona. The patrol found cocaine, ecstasy and a loaded semi-automatic gun. It was unlicensed. He originally pleaded not guilty to the gun possession, but changed his plea in exchange for a shorter sentence and received 1 year. He could be out in 8 months for good behaviour.
Lil Wayne considers himself the "best rapper alive", and with his strong work ethic and knack for self-promotion you have to at least consider it. While he was awaiting sentencing, he cut 7 new tracks and made 8 videos. His team is hoping to keep fans satiated with Lil Wayne content so that he stays top of mind while he takes his time-out. He joined twitter a couple of weeks ago and thousands of people flocked to follow him.
Do you think his time in the slammer will raise his profile and create a great opportunity for a come back in 2011? Or will being "out of sight, out of mind" for 12 months in this 24/7 celebrity culture put an end to his career?

FAKE! This nigga offered the cops to go in the bus when there was drugs and guns on a table. how bait is that??
cops are not allowed to go in the bus unless they get permission.
