by contrast, lebron james averaged 21, 6 n 5 with 1.5 steals his rookie year and almost took the worst team in the league to the playoffs. THAT'S what i mean by production. not just individual stats. what he does for the TEAM as a whole. basketball is a TEAM sport. if he does nothing for the TEAM, he hasn't produced SHIT.

Rondo is overhyped because he had a good playoffs and everybody starts saying hes a top 5 point guard when other dudes have BEEN producing.
Secondly, it isn't fair to say Rondo is a amazing PLAYER, when he has an amazing TEAM around him. Other guys make their teams better, Rondo's team makes HIM better. If you switch Steve Nash and Rajon Rondo, the Celtics are probably NBA chmapions and the Suns are barely making the playoffs, if at all. Rondo is dependant on having great players around him getting most of the attention, and you can't argue that about KG, Allen and Pierce. Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose etc. get their own shots and get shots for teammates. Rondo cannot get shots WITHOUT those teammates (not the easy lay ups and cuts he gets).
No ones saying Rondo isn't hovering around the top 5, he's easily in the top 10. But a guy who has no jumper and has never been this good when he didn't have great players aruond him... you can't give him the nod over guys who carry their teams with way worse supporting casts than the Celtics.

Bro Rondo always performes for the c's, Ok like u said he aint the first or 2nd option on Offense and he avg 14 points, But rose who is the first on offense is only avg, 20 that only 6 points more than a man thats like the 3rd option on offense. and if rose and rondo switch spots rondo would still be avg a double double and rose would be avg less points and like 15 points or someshit like that
If Rondo improves his jumpshootin/ freethrows he'd be the best point guard in the league he has great defence, speed, play makin , and MAD HUSTLE wit a jumper how can u stop him?
