The Bucks and forward Drew Gooden have agreed to terms on a five-year, $32 million contract, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Milwaukee struck the deal early in order to fortify their frontcourt.

They are still trying to retain John Salmons.

WHYYYYYY it would be such a great addition to the raptors to get 3 proven players, that way we can solidify our front court, get a pretty good point guard (get rid of calderon in the process), and get a pretty good young foward

Quoting RealGm.com

The Raptors are uninterested in receiving Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony in a sign-and-trade for Chris Bosh, according to multiple sources.

But Toronto would consider a $16 million trade exemption and the return of its first-round pick from Miami in the 2009 Jermaine O'Neal trade for a potential Bosh move.

Bosh would receive an extra $30M in guaranteed money if he signed a deal with the Raptors

By TOM WITHERS, AP Sports Writer 1 hour, 14 minutes ago

CLEVELAND (AP)—With LeBron James(notes) or without him, Byron Scott has decided to get back on an NBA sideline.

Scott accepted Cleveland’s coaching job just as James officially became a free agent and no longer property of the Cavaliers, who are hoping that landing the best coach available will convince the two-time MVP to stay home and try to win a title.

I know I know, but it's to a point where I genuinely don't think that even Gooden himself thought he was going to get that much, that's why he signed so quick lol

Gay is overrated...not worth it

Rudy Gay and the Grizzlies have agreed to an $81.6 million contract over five years, his agents have confirmed.

Gay is a restricted free agent and was expected to be an option for teams that were unable to reach a deal with players such as LeBron James and Joe Johnson.

Salmons is my nigga still
Quoting RealGM.com

The Bucks are nearing a deal to re-sign guard John Salmons.

A source told FanHouse the deal is done except for a few minor points. Milwaukee general manager John Hammond had told FanHouse very early Thursday morning he had "guarded'' optimism that Salmons would re-sign.

The source said the deal will be for five years for about $39 million.

"That's good money,'' said the source, speaking of Salmons, who opted out of a contract that would have paid him $5.81 million next season.

The Trail Blazers were close to acquiring point guard Chris Paul from the Hornets last week, a source told ESPN.com's Chad Ford.

The proposed deal had Portland sending Andre Miller, Joel Przybilla, Nicolas Batum, Jerryd Bayless and the 22nd pick to New Orleans for Paul and Emeka Okafor.

Hornets general manager Jeff Bower pulled the plug on the deal claiming that his owner wasn't ready to deal Paul.

New Orleans made a trade with Oklahoma City last week that got them under the luxury tax threshold, so they no longer have the financial pressure of dealing Paul.

Hedo Turkoglu is trying to make amends with the Raptors after publicly requesting a trade.

"Everybody makes mistakes, that’s a fact. Both parties [Hedo and Raptors management] think that it’s time to correct them. Toronto wants me back and to take the leading role. I’m happy that (P.J.) Carlesimo is here, and we will all see what summer brings. I don’t have any problems with the city of Toronto or the Raptors. I want to be able to perform at the highest level."
