If it's a personal boundary genetics put on you, there's no escaping that unless you actually go in and change your genome. Working out does not change your genetic make up lmao, unless its a mutation, which is almost always not beneficial.

bro you being serious? if the average person wants to see how strong he can get how else but the gym is he suppose to do it? as for the genetics no. if someone comes from a family where all the guys were obese. then there is a high chance he will be too but its not set in stone. genetics is only half of the equation so to escape that the dude would start workout out hard core.
